What if WebWithout blocks a site I really need to visit?

WebWithout maintains a database of millions of unsafe web sites. Very occasionally, we might make a mistake and block something incorrectly. If this happens you can:

  1. Ask us to review the site using the SiteSuggest option on our Feedback page. This is the best option as it provides a permanent solution and improves the quality of the WebWithout service for all users. Sites are normally reviewed within 24 hours.
  2. Temporarily add the site to your Whitelist. WebWithout will allow access to any sites on your Whitelist regardless of their content. Note that this a temporary solution (maximum 1 week) and only grants access from your IP address. Changes should be effective within a few minutes.
  3. Turn off WebWithout completely. This will grant access from your IP address to all sites regardless of their content, so should be used with care. Changes should be effective within a few minutes.

What is an IP address?

All computers connected to the Internet are assigned a unique identifier called an IP address. They are used like street addresses so other computers can find and identify them. An IP address could look something like this: 192.168.100.1. Based on your IP address, WebWithout allows you to turn off filtering or Whitelist sites that might otherwise be blocked (see above).
